Losses among the civilian population in Ukraine as of 8:00 on March 30

As of 8:00 a.m. on March 30, 2022, during the past 24 hours, about 423 civilians had been killed due to the Russian invasion including the preliminary data about people who died in Chernihiv (excluding all victims in Mariupol, Volnovakha, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions). Approximately 455 people were injured, including the preliminary information on number of the wounded residents of Chernihiv. 3 civilians were captured, and a total more than 80 civilians were kidnapped or were taken prisoner by the Russian troops, they are mostly journalists, local government officials of the occupied settlements and the Ukrainian activists as well.

Children:

As of March 29, due to the Russian full-scale invasion in Ukraine, 144 children were killed and 220 were wounded, according to the data of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

Three civilians were captured by the Russian troops in the occupied settlements. Totally just in Chernihiv region 20 local officials were abducted since the beginning of the Russian invasion:

 1. In Prymorsk (Zaporizhzhia region) the Russian military kidnapped the mayor of the town – Oleksandr Koshelevych.

2. In Novy Borovychi (Chernihiv region) – the Russian invaders kidnapped Anatoly Siriy – the head of the village. Totally since the beginning of the Russian invasion the Russian military kidnapped 11 heads of the settlements and 8 representatives of the staff of the local authorities in Chernihiv region.

3. In Mylov (Kherson region) – the Russian military captured the head of the local community – Oleh Yakhnienko. 

Losses of civilians in different regions and settlements of Ukraine:

Kyiv region: 6 people were killed.

Irpin (Kyiv region) – after liberation of the town rescuers and volunteers everyday find and identify killed  civilians. On March 28 died famous sportsman and trainer was found. The Ukrainian priest Volodymyr Bormashev died, he was wounded by the bombardment of the town on March 23.

Sviatopetrivske (Kyiv region) – through the artillery sheltering 4 persons died, many residential houses are damaged.

Dnipropetrovsk region: 1 civilian was injured.

Novomoskovsky district (Dnipropetrovsk region) – the Russian troops carried out an airstrike on the farm, 1 person was heavy injured.

Donetsk region: 3 civilians were injured.

Mariupol – 1 civilian was injured under the shelling (incomplete information).

Kurdyumivka – 1 civilian was injured.

Novoselivka – 1 person was injured under the shelling.

Luhansk region: 2 people died, 12 were injured (information is being clarified).

Severodonetsk (Luhansk region) – a residential house was completely destroyed as a result of the shelling, under rubble 2 civilians died and 9 were injured.

Lysychansk (Luhansk region) – the Russian military shelled residential neighborhoods, the information is being clarified.

Luhansk region – 3 civilians were injured. The victims were registered in Bakhmut, Donetsk region.

Mykolaiv region: 15 were killed, 34 were injured.

Mykolaiv – the Russian army carried out an airstrike at the regional state administration building of Mykolaiv region. The building was destroyed from first to ninth floors. 12 civilians were killed and 34 were injured.

Lupariovo village (Mykolaiv region) – it has been estimated that during March at least 3 civilians were killed under the shelling.

Sumy region: 3 civilians were killed.

Trostyanets (Sumy region) – dismantling the rubble of the residential houses, the rescuers found 2 victims, one of them was tortured.

The village of Verkhnya Syrovatka (Sumy region) – 1 person died from artillery shelling.

Kharkiv region: 5 civilians were wounded.

Lyubotyn (Kharkiv region) – the number of the wounded people has increased from 2 to 7, as a result of artillery strike on March 28.

Kherson region: the number of the victims is unknown.

Pravdino village (Kherson region) – due to the shelling several inhabitants were wounded (a total number is unknown).

Chernihiv region: about 400 inhabitants of Chernihiv were killed and approximately 400 civilians were injured.

Chernihiv – according to the preliminary information of Atroshenko – Chernihiv mayor, since the beginning of the Russian invasion and during the entire period of the blockade of Chernihiv, about 400 locals were killed in the city. Currently, about 400 wounded civilians are in the city’s hospitals.
