Losses among the civilian population in Ukraine as of 8:00 on April 27

As of 8:00 a.m. on April 27, 2022, during the last 24 hours, 12 civilians had been killed due to the Russian invasion (excluding all victims in Mariupol, Volnovakha, Kyiv, Luhansk, Kherson, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia regions). 33 people were wounded.  4 civilians were captured, and totally more than 300 civilians were kidnapped by the Russian troops, they are mostly journalists, local government officials of the occupied settlements, the Ukrainian activists, teachers, as well as children and relatives of local authorities’ representatives.

Children:

As of April 27, due to the Russian full-scale invasion against the population of Ukraine, 217 children were killed and 393 were wounded, according to the data of the Office of the General Prosecutor of Ukraine.

Four civilians were captured by the Russian troops in the occupied settlements:

According to the data of the Kherson region Prosecutor Office currently just in the Kherson region the Russian occupiers are keeping 41 civilians’ prisoners. According to the testimonies of the victims, who have been released, the Russian military tortures and mock detainees. Also, it has become known that in Nova Kakhovka, which is occupied by the Russian military, a torture chamber was set up in the local Security Service’s building. Many detained civilians are being brought there.

  1. In Oleshky (Kherson region) – the Russian military kidnapped school teacher Vadym Nazarenko.
  2. In Nova kakhovka (Kherson region) – the Russian military kidnapped three local civilians: Lataniuk Vasyl, Chaly Anatoliy, Seredyn Volodymyr.

Losses of civilians in different regions and settlements of Ukraine:

Dnipropetrovsk region: 1 person was killed and 8 were injured.

Kryvyi Rih district – 1 person was injured as a result of the Russian rocket strike on the settlement.

Zelenodolsk (Dnipropetrovsk region) – 1 civilian was wounded as a result of artillery shelling by the Russian army.

Donetsk region: 3 people were killed. 7 civilians were injured.

New York (Donetsk region) – 1 civilian was killed and 1 was injured.

Lyman (Donetsk region) – 1 civilian was killed and 2 were injured.

Maryinka (Donetsk region) – 2 people were injured.

Travneve (Donetsk region) – 1 civilian was killed in the Russian shelling.

Velyka Novosilka (Donetsk region) – 1 person was injured.

Mariupol (Donetsk region) – 1 person was injured.

Luhansk region: 4 people were killed and 1 were injured. There is no complete information due to active hostilities.

Pryvillia (Luhansk region) – one civilian was killed as a result of the Russian army’s offensive.

Popasna (Luhansk region) – in the Russian shelling, a high-rise building was destroyed, 3 people died under the rubble, and 1 was injured.

Mykolaiv region: The Russian military continues to shell settlements in the Mykolaiv region, killing 1 person and injuring 3 civilians.

Kashpero-Mykolaivka (Mykolaiv region) – the Russian military occupied the settlement in the beginning of March. According to locals, the Russians were very cruel to civilians: bullying, torturing, kidnapping and stealing things. One resident was brutally tortured and killed.

Kharkiv region: 3 people were killed. Wounded – 14.

Kharkiv – in the Russian shelling of residential neighborhoods, 3 people were killed and 7 were injured.

Derhachi (Kharkiv region) – The Russian military fired on residential districts, due to which one civilian was wounded.

Zolochiv (Kharkiv region) – 1 civilian was wounded in the Russian shelling.

Odnorobovka (Kharkiv region) – 4 civilians were wounded in the Russian shelling.

Kherson region: no information, because the region is occupied by Russian troops.
