Losses among the civilian population in Ukraine as of 8:00 on April 26

As of 8:00 a.m. on April 26, 2022, during the last 24 hours, 35 civilians had been killed due to the Russian invasion, among them 4 children (excluding all victims in Mariupol, Volnovakha, Kyiv, Luhansk, Kherson, Kharkiv regions). 50 people were wounded, including 1 child.  3 civilians were captured, and totally more than 300 civilians were kidnapped by the Russian troops, they are mostly journalists, local government officials of the occupied settlements, the Ukrainian activists, teachers, children and other relatives of local authorities representatives as well.

Children:

As of April 26, due to the Russian full-scale invasion against the population of Ukraine, 217 children were killed and 391 were wounded, according to the data of the Office of the General Prosecutor of Ukraine.

Three civilians were captured by the Russian troops in the occupied settlements:

  1. In Berdiansk (Zaporizhzhya region) – the Russian military kidnapped Mykola Holoenko – a local doctor. He was adbucted in a hospital during his patient’s acceptance.
  2. In Sophiyvka (Zaporizhzhya region) – the Russian military kidnapped Stanislav Zakharevich – the son of a head of the Sophiyvka community.

In Novopetrivka (Zaporizhzhya region) – the Russian military kidnapped a policeman.

SAVE MARIUPOL

According to the mayor of Mariupol Boychenko in the city “the greatest tragedy of the 21st century has been committed”, its scale can be compared with Babyn Yar. According to preliminary data from the Mariupol City Council, approximately 3,000 and 9,000 city residents may be buried in mass graves in Manhush (a settlement near Mariupol). Satellite pictures show mass graves done in the first half of April. Losses of civilians in different regions and settlements of Ukraine:

Kyiv region: it has become known about the death of 10 civilians, including 1 child. Wounded – 1.

Bucha / Irpin – A doctor who worked at the Irpin hospital said that the first victim of the Russian attack that he saw was a 3-year-old girl and her aunt. The Russian military fired on the family’s car as they were trying to leave Bucha. The girl died at the hospital. The doctor also said that near his house, the Russian occupiers killed 8 civilians and a security guard at a kindergarten.

Vinnytsia region: 5 civilians were killed and 18 were injured

Zhmerynka, Kozyatyn (Vinnytsia region) – 5 civilians were killed and 18 were injured in a rocket attack by the Russian army on transport infrastructure.

Dnipropetrovsk region: 1 person was killed and 8 were injured.

Pavlohrad (Dnipropetrovsk region) – 1 person was injured as a result of the Russian missile attack on the transport infrastructure.

Kremenchuk (Dnipropetrovsk region) – 1 civilian was killed and 7 were injured in a rocket attack by the Russian army on infrastructure facilities.

Donetsk region: 4 people were killed, including 2 children. 9 civilians were injured.

Yampil (Donetsk region) – 1 civilian was killed.

Lyman (Donetsk region) – 2 children (9 and 14 years old) died and 2 people were injured.

Mariinka (Donetsk region) – 1 civilian was killed and 1 was injured.

Bakhmut (Donetsk region) – 2 civilians were injured.

Seredne (Donetsk region) – 1 person was injured.

Dronivka (Donetsk region) – 1 person was injured.

Shandryholove (Donetsk region) – 4 civilians were injured.

Luhansk region: No information due to active hostilities. The Russian military is shelling the settlements of Luhansk region with aircraft, multiple launch systems and missile strikes.

Mykolaiv region: the Russian military continues to occupy settlements of the Mykolaiv region, as a result of the Russian attacks 1 person was killed and 5 civilians were injured.

Mykolayv – as a result of the rocket strikes by the Russian military on the residential houses 1 civilian was killed.

Sumy region: 1 civilian was killed.

Stare village (Sumy region) – it has become known about the murder of a civilian by the Russian military during the occupation of the village.

Kharkiv region: 11 people were killed. 9 were injured, including 1 child.

Kharkiv – as a result of the Russian shelling of a residential building 4 people were injured, including a child.

Derhachi (Kharkiv region) – the Russian military fired on residential areas, killing 3 people and injuring one civilian.

Zolochiv (Kharkiv region) – 1 civilian was killed and 4 were injured in the Russian shelling.

Kharkiv region – according to the National Police in Kharkiv region, 7 civilians were killed during the last 24 hours.

Kherson region: no information, the most part of the region is occupied by the Russian troops.

Chernihiv region: a teenager was killed.

Bakhmach (Chernihiv region) – a 15-year-old boy exploded and died, an explosive device remained after the occupation of the Russian troops.
