Losses among the civilian population in Ukraine as of 8:00 on April 15

As of 8:00 a.m. on April 15, 2022, during the last 24 hours, 105 civilians had been killed due to the Russian invasion, among them 2 children, including 73 killed people whom were found in the mass grave in Bucha (Kyiv region) (excluding all victims in Mariupol, Volnovakha, Kyiv, Luhansk, Kherson, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions). 24 people were injured, including 2 children. 1 civilian was captured, and totally more than 250 civilians were kidnapped by the Russian troops, they are mostly journalists, local government officials of the occupied settlements, the Ukrainian activists, teachers as well.

Children:

As of April 14, due to the Russian full-scale invasion against the population of Ukraine, 197 children were killed and 351 were wounded, according to the data of the Office of the General Prosecutor of Ukraine.   

One civilian was captured by the Russian troops in the occupied settlements:

In Stanislavska community (Kherson region) the Russian military kidnapped Serhiy Sonko – an elderly man, the father of the Ukrainian marine.

War crimes in the Kyiv region:

According to Ruslan Kravchenko – a Head of Bucha district Prosecutor’s Office at the moment the number of the victims is approximately 600 killed civilians in the Bucha district. The results of the forensics examination have shown that most of civilians were shot dead from the guns or received shrapnel wounds. The Russian military shot many people when they went outside, to a store or a pharmacy. The Russian occupiers also shot down civilian cars with their families when they were trying to leave the town. Many cars had sign “CHILDREN”, but the Russian military did not pay attention at the signs. Near the settlements in Kyiv region you can see whole “cemeteries” of shot and blown up cars, in which civilians died wishing to escape from the Russian army.

Losses of civilians in different regions and settlements of Ukraine:

  • Kyiv region: 100 civilians killed, including 2 children (partial information)

Bucha (Kyiv region) – 73 bodies were raised from the mass grave.

Bucha (Kyiv region) – it has become known that the Russian armored vehicle shelled a car in which a mother and her two children (4 and 11 years old) were trying to escape. Woman and children burned in the car.

Irpin (Kyiv region) – it has become known that the Russian military killed an elderly woman (83 years old) and her two dogs.

Makariv (Kyiv region) – as of April 14, the facts of the murder of 23 civilians have been indicated. The Russian military fired the evacuation columns of civilian cars.

  • Donetsk region: 2 people died. 8 civilians were injured.

Velyka Novosilka (Donetsk region) – 3 people were injured.

Vuhledar (Donetsk region) – 1 person died and 3 were injured.

Zarichne (Donetsk region) – 1 person was killed and 2 civilians were injured.

  • Luhansk region: 1 person was killed and 2 were injured. The information is incomplete.

Kreminna (Luhansk region) – 2 civilians were heavy injured in the shelling of residential neighborhoods.

Toshkivka (Luhansk region) – a woman died of shrapnel wounds.

  • Mykolaiv region: 3 civilians were wounded due to the shelling.
  • Kharkiv region: 1 person died. 11 were injured, including 2 children.

Kharkiv – it has become known that on April 13 in the shelling of one of the districts of Kharkiv 3 civilians were wounded.

Zolochiv (Kharkiv region) – 1 person was killed and 5 were injured in Russian artillery and missile attacks.

Oleksandrivka (Kharkiv region) – 2 children (9 and 11 years old) and a woman were injured in the shelling.

  • Kherson region: 1 person died.

Prigorye (Kherson Oblast) – The Russian military killed a man for not allowing them to stay in his house.
