Losses among the civilian population in Ukraine as of 8:00 on March 12

As of 8:00 a.m. on March 12, according to incomplete official information, 19 people had died, including 3 children.  21 were injured, including 3 children.

General information:

In Mariupol for 12 days of blockade and constant air and artillery shelling of the Russian army killed 1,582 civilians, according to official information of the Mariupol City Council.  Russia has not allowed a humanitarian corridor to be opened.   The blockade and shelling of Mariupol can be called a fact of real genocide of the civilian population, the Ukrainian people.

In Mariupol, shelling is taking place at a mosque, which currently houses 86 Turkish citizens, including 34 children.  As of March 12, there is no contact with Turkish citizens, so their fate is unknown.

According to official information from the Kharkiv National Police, 201 civilians, including 11 children, died in the Kharkiv region during the 16 days of the war.

As of March 11, Russian troops had killed 78 children and wounded about 100 in Ukraine, according to official information from the Ukrainian Parliament’s Commissioner for Human Rights.

According to the official information of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Ukraine, the UN has received all the necessary evidence of Russia’s use in Ukraine of weapons prohibited by international humanitarian law – cluster bombs.  According to confirmed UN data, Russia used cluster bombs during the shelling of two Ukrainian cities.  In Vuhledar (Donetsk region), 4 civilians were killed and 10 were wounded, a hospital and ambulances were destroyed by cluster bombing of the Central City Hospital.  In Kharkiv, Russia bombed residential neighborhoods with cluster bombs – 9 civilians were killed and 37 wounded.

Loss of local population in different cities of Ukraine:

Lutsk (Volyn region) – as a result of air strikes with cruise missiles at the airport, 4 civilians were killed and 6 were injured.

Skibyn (Kyiv region) – 2 people were injured, including 1 child.

Petrovske (Donetsk region) – 2 people died.

Yevhenivka (Donetsk region) – 2 people were injured.

Rubtsi (Donetsk region) – 1 person was injured.

Novoandriyivka (Donetsk region) – 1 person was injured.

Mykolayiv – 1 person was injured as a result of shelling of a residential district of the city by the “Grad” system.

Kharkiv region – 10 civilians were killed, including 3 children.

Dergachi (Kharkiv region) – 3 civilians were killed.

Baryshivka (Kyiv region) – as a result of shelling by the Russian army with cruise missiles wounded 6 people who were waiting for evacuation – the information is specified.

Polohy(Zaporizhzhya region) – 2 children were injured and their legs were torn off as a result of the shelling.  The Russian occupiers took the children in an unknown direction.

Milove (Kharkiv region) – 1 person died.

Zolochiv (Kharkiv region) – 1 person was killed and 2 wounded as a result of artillery shelling.

Kharkiv – 1 person died as a result of the shelling of a multi-storey residential building by the Russian occupiers.
